Overview of the Cold War
The cold war began shortly after World War Two, and was mainly between the U.S.A and the Sovite Union. There weren't really many fights between the two superpowers, just a bunch of threats being thrown back and forth. There were, however, fights within the Cold War involving smaller nations, such as the Korean War, China Civil War, and the Vietnam War. We (the USA) had many big events occur during the Cold War, including Sputnik, the H-Bomb, U-2, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. When the Cold War began, Franklin D Roosevelt was our president, followed by Dwight Eisenhower, then John F. Kennedy, and finally Lyndon B Johnson. The war lasted roughly from 1947 to 1991.
